Ten Things to do in NYC During the Christmas and New Year’s Season

In order to enjoy Christmas in New York as much as you possibly can, there are certain sites that you need to visit. New York has so much to offer that knowing which spots are the best to visit during the holiday season can make it easier to plan your great adventure. 1. See the Rockettes

The Rockettes have been a New York City treasure for decades. Go to see the Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Music Hall to enjoy the “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers”, “New York and Christmas”, and all of the other timeless performances the Rockettes have to offer.

2. Go Sledding

New York often has a plethora of snow available for you to sled on during the holiday season. Visit Central Park to get your sledding start on Cedar Hill. Once you feel that you’ve got the hang of things, graduate to the steeper Pilgrim Hill, where sledding gets a bit more intense.

3. Go for a Guided Light Tour

There are so many great lit buildings in NYC during the holidays. You can go on a guided light tour to see the best of the best and never miss any of the extravagant light displays available in the city.

4. Enjoy Ice Skating at Wollman Park

Enjoy great views and a fun day of ice skating at Wollman Park. You can enjoy a beautiful skyline while enjoying a fun experience with friends and family. There are ice skates available for rent so that you don’t have to worry about lugging yours all around the city.

5. See the Nutcracker

Enjoy the New York City Ballet’s presentation of The Nutcracker. You will get to see the presentation performed by a cast of stellar ballerinas. The high-quality props really bring the set to life and make the performance even more enjoyable.

6. Be present for the Tree Lighting

Every year a massive tree is erected in Rockefeller Center. On November 28, 2018, the tree will be lit for the very first time of the year. There are festivities that happen from 7 to 9 at night to ensure that everyone can truly enjoy the magic of the holidays.
