New York is undoubtedly one of the world’s capitals for nightlife, and there may be no better area in town than Chelsea. Located on the west side of town, along the Hudson River, Chelsea is a district that has become synonymous with style, art, and partying. If you want to go to a chic nightclub that offers standout drinks, great people watching, and good dancing – here are some of the best places you can do that in Chelsea.

Want to revisit the best music of past eras and dance the night away? Check out Retroclubnyc This nightclub features the best dance music of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, so it’s a good spot to go to if you want to opt out of the house or R&B music that is so popular today. Retroclubnyc also features throwback cocktails like a Frose (frozen rose), or a straightforward glass of champs (champagne). Retroclub has disco nights on Wednesdays.

Boxers Sports Bar

One thing to know about Chelsea is that in addition to it being one of New York’s cultural capitals, it’s also one of the most gay-friendly neighborhoods in the city. Chelsea’s premier gay club these days is Boxers Sports Bar. It sounds like a sports bar (and it is), but it’s also a three-level nightclub with a roof deck, multiple bars, and games. There are nights that you can drink and dance while you enjoy drag shows, happy hour events, and more.
