5 Amazing Things to Do in Brooklyn

No matter where you are from, you’ve probably heard of Brooklyn, and if you are looking for the best things to do in New York next month, here are 5 amazing things to do in Brooklyn on your visit.

Coney Island Is Definitely One of 5 Amazing Things to Do in Brooklyn

No trip to Brooklyn is complete without a trip to Coney Island. In fact, not even a trip to New York City is complete without visiting one of the most iconic areas in the state — if not the entire country.

This is one of the top destinations and there is a reason for that. Whether you want to relax at the beach, check out the Wonder Wheel, explore Luna Park, or just people watch, there is something for every member of your family to enjoy on its 442 acres.

Throughout the year there are parades and events, so there is always something exciting going on.

The 1 Rooftop

If you’re looking to have a drink or bite to eat at a place with one of the best views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Lower Manhattan, The 1 Rooftop is the place to be. Located at 60 Furman Street, The 1 Rooftop charges a $20 entry fee to non-guests but you cannot beat the view.

There are plenty of things to drink like specialty cocktails, beer and wine and if you’re hungry there are quite a few things to choose from — burgers, rice bowls and even lobster rolls.

The Brooklyn Bridge

Take a walk from Brooklyn into Manhattan — and back again on the Brooklyn Bridge. It is 1.3 miles long and allows you plenty of photographic opportunities. You can spot the Statue of Liberty in the daytime and, once you cross over into Manhattan, see St, Paul’s Chapel, City Hall, Wall Street and much more.

Keep in mind it can be crowded and, in any other time but the summer, take a jacket with you.

Prospect Park

While you may have heard of Central Park being iconic, Brooklyn has its own 526-acre park with everything to do from picnics and baseball to bird watching and skating. There are even food trucks, cafes and other types of food available on your visit. Fishing, football, boating, volleyball or just enjoying the activities with your kids — there is pretty much something to do for everyone and all while enjoying nature at its finest at Prospect Park.

Four & Twenty Blackbirds

While visiting New York City may not make you think of pies, Brooklyn is home to Four & Twenty Blackbirds and you’ll be glad you stopped in. Located at 439 3rd Avenue, where else can you find pies like black bottom oat, salted honey, bittersweet chocolate pecan or the other eight flavors?

These aren’t just any pies, these are pies on the international culinary map — handmade and with seasonal ingredients. They’re sold by the pie or by the slice and it’s well worth a trip inside just to taste some of the best pie in the world.

There Is So Much to Do

No matter what you plan to do in Brooklyn, you’ll find plenty to offer. From world-class restaurants to stunning views and time with nature, Brooklyn is more than just one of the five boroughs — it’s an experience.
